This new website includes important information about how you can get involved with Declare Detroit and important information about safe and secure voting in the City of Detroit for the 2020 Election. At a time when the stakes are higher than ever, how do we ensure each of us can build a better tomorrow for everyone in the City of Detroit? The answer for November 2020 is simple: by voting.
For the last decade, Declare Detroit has sought to elevate the local policy debate by developing and promoting guiding principles for a better city, and to hold our elected leaders to account. Thousands have since signed in support of the Detroit Declaration. Dozens of candidates for local office have pledged to uphold its ideals. But the work is far from over.
For 2020, our commitment to the principles of the Detroit Declaration remain the same, but our tactics are different. 2020 is not about the candidates. Rather, it is all about voting. And we’re here to make it easy to understand how you vote safely and securely in the City of Detroit. Whether you are voting early, whether you are voting by drop box, whether you are voting by satellite location, we’ll help you get the answers.
